My journey into the counseling profession is deeply personal; rooted in healing, shaped by perseverance, and guided by faith. As a trauma survivor and lifelong caregiver, I’ve experienced the profound transformation that comes from being truly seen, heard, and supported. These experiences have become the foundation of my calling: to create safe, sacred spaces where others can reconnect with themselves, their stories, and the Divine.
I’m currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Pastoral Care and Counseling at Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary, with a path toward licensure as a Professional Counselor. This journey allows me to integrate lived experience, academic training, and spiritual insight into my work. As I complete my practicum hours, I’m honored to offer a calm and compassionate presence - not to fix, but to witness and walk alongside those seeking support as they work to find solutions to the challenges they face.
My background spans years of teaching, ministry, and community service. Whether guiding children through music education, serving as a missionary teacher in Slovakia, or leading church-level discipleship programs – my focus has always been on nurturing growth and belonging. In every role, I’ve been drawn to create spaces where people feel safe, seen, and supported.
My counseling approach is grounded in empathy, inclusivity, and a deep reverence for the sacredness of each person’s journey. I’m especially passionate about supporting individuals navigating grief, trauma, life transitions, and spiritual questions or concerns. I believe healing happens in relationship. That’s why I incorporate Relational Cultural Theory, a framework that emphasizes the healing power of authentic, supportive connections while seeking to understand how cultural context shapes human development and influences everyday life.
By focusing on the therapeutic relationship itself, I aim to help clients experience new ways of relating that foster trust, self-awareness, and emotional growth. I aim to create a nurturing environment to truly examine the self and reflect on the individual’s unique and inherent strengths for personal growth with Person-Centered Therapy. Whether you’re wrestling with faith, navigating loss, or simply trying to make sense of your story, I offer a space of grace, growth, and deep listening.
