My name is Emily Fisher.  I received my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northern Illinois University, where I also earned a Trauma-Informed Care Counseling Certificate. I am currently working towards obtaining my LPC licensure. My training has emphasized providing compassionate, evidence-based care that recognizes the impact of life experiences on emotional and psychological well-being.

My theoretical orientation is rooted in a humanistic approach, integrating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), along with other evidence-based approaches tailored to my client's needs. I believe that every child and adolescent possesses unique strengths and the capacity for growth when provided with a safe, supportive, and accepting environment. I strive to build meaningful therapeutic relationships that foster trust, resilience, and self-discovery while tailoring treatment to each client's individual needs and goals.

I enjoy working with children and adolescents experiencing anxiety, depression, emotional dysregulation, behavioral concerns, self-esteem challenges, life transitions, and the effects of trauma. My goal is to help young people develop healthy coping skills, strengthen emotional awareness, and build confidence as they navigate life's challenges. I value collaborating with families whenever appropriate to support lasting growth and positive change both in and outside of the therapy room.
